The equipment they were using was quite impressive - below is a fish-eye lens view.
But that's not all! Yesterday a new noticeboard was put up close to the Pavilion. When I arrived early today it was empty, and covered in dew, but within a few minutes Lydia had put some information in there, and I wiped the moisture away (the handkerchief has had to be put in the wash). Only a little later people were looking at the notices (and/or admiring the new noticeboard)!
Although nothing was happening in the Rose Garden while I was there today, hard core has been put down on some of the area where slabs have been removed, and the central path is open (although I suspect it may need to be closed again temporarily while further work is carried out).
Finally, my apologies for the quality of the photos - the light was very difficult (low sun, bright sun and deep shadow, and visibility was not all that good, especially early in the day).
