Such a lot is happening at the moment!

I received an email yesterday evening from Senior Park Ranger Lydia Allt (belated congratulations Lydia) to let me know that today there would be some major developments on the Pavilion. The excavation work is apparently now complete, and they were pouring concrete.

The equipment they were using was quite impressive - below is a fish-eye lens view.

But that's not all! Yesterday a new noticeboard was put up close to the Pavilion. When I arrived early today it was empty, and covered in dew, but within a few minutes Lydia had put some information in there, and I wiped the moisture away (the handkerchief has had to be put in the wash). Only a little later people were looking at the notices (and/or admiring the new noticeboard)!

Although nothing was happening in the Rose Garden while I was there today, hard core has been put down on some of the area where slabs have been removed, and the central path is open (although I suspect it may need to be closed again temporarily while further work is carried out).

Finally, my apologies for the quality of the photos - the light was very difficult (low sun, bright sun and deep shadow, and visibility was not all that good, especially early in the day).
